Contact lenses are a Class A Medical Device as defined by the FDA. As a result, improper usage of contact lenses can lead to increase risk of eye infections and inflammations. However, a lot of these problems can be prevented through proper maintenance and evaluation on an annual basis. We believe that prevention is the best way to practice optometry and medicine.
Our pediatric eye exam involves:

Vision screening from school nurse or pediatrician's office is insufficient. A complete pediatric eye exam includes testing and evaluation of visual skills. In the absence of complete testing, common pediatric vision problems can go undetected and, in many cases, can be misdiagnosed as a learning disability or behavioral problem. We offer pediatric eye exams for children ages 3 and up.
If your child is younger than 24 months, we recommend that he/she sees a pediatric eye specialist.
